Meet Jen and Megan, premier florists in Toledo! Their company name is Beautiful Blooms by Jen and I really can not express in words how awesome their work is (thank goodness I have images to show you). Their arrangements are stunning and you really can’t get better anywhere. I got to grab some shots of the girls and their amazing work and there is great info on what things you should be looking for in a florist and other wedding vendors…..so brides and grooms read on and as for the rest be prepared to be stunned by flowers!
Meet Jen!

Meet Megan!

Here are some Q’s and A’s,
Q:How do I begin to choose a florist?
A:Get referrals from your vendors and then ask those vendors for referrals. We will always let you know who we like to work with and who we KNOW will do a good job! Remember you get what you pay for! Also, find someone you click with, that is so important!
Q: How much is a typical wedding?
A: Average bridal budget includes $1819 for flowers (2010 SAF Survey). Industry standard is 8-15 percent of the total wedding cost. We price all our weddings by stem so we don’t do packages. We want your wedding to be as individual as you!
Be honest with your budget. If you tell us you don’t have a budget we get really creative and have a lot of fun and offer you awesome suggestions. This is great except you won’t be happy with the price. If you have a specific number in mind this will help us visualize how large or ornate the wedding will be and let us know and lets you talk about different ways you can tweak to meet your budget.
Also, don’t automatically eliminate a florist’s services based on price alone. Choosing your wedding flowers is a stem by stem process and price can literally change when a flower is added or taken away from a design. If you really like the designer but their price is a little too high ask for an explanation. It is entirely possible that he or she plans to have more flowers in your designs which will look nicer and more beautiful but also cost a little more. Communicating your budget with your florist is the best way to ensure there are no surprises when you get your quote.
Be careful about price comparisons between florists. While knowing what you can afford is important, it’s more important to feel comfortable knowing that your florist will do a great job! Anyone can bring a quote to another florist to see if the price can be beat. And guess what? The answer is almost always yes! But, it is very difficult to compare apples to apples when it comes to flowers. Like I said before, it’s a stem by stem process. So, you can almost always find a lower price, but you also find that you will be getting less of what you want.
Q: What should I bring to my consultation?
A: Anything you have planned already- colors, pictures of dresses, pictures of things you like and don’t like. Theknot.com is really helpful. List of favorite flowers, list of EVERYONE you need corsages or boutonnieres for.
My company’s specialty is communication. I usually get back to brides in about 24hrs on phone calls or emails and try to get you a quote the next day after a consultation. Sometimes it takes a little longer if I need to check with the wholesaler on something to make sure information is accurate.
Q: When should I book a florist?
A: The sooner the better! Typically once you pick your date, book your ceremony and reception sites, florists photographers and djs are next. We are already booking brides for over a year from now.
We always fully service our weddings. This includes delivering your bouquets, pinning on corsages and boutonnieres setting up the ceremony and reception sites. We are there until the last item is complete!
Ok! Now that you have all the good information check out their work! You will NOT believe it! If you need a florist these girls are the bomb!
