About Bethany & Wellspring Photography

I’m excited about how Wellspring Photography is growing and through that I am able to learn more as well as venture into new areas of photography. We now offer packages for any events in life, from as big as weddings and births to as small as your child’s first time making chocolate chip cookies. We are now even doing school photographs from preschool through high school, as well as family, pregnancy, and baby sessions. Any photography need you have, we would be honored and excited to fulfill it.

Here at Wellspring Photography we love photography and love capturing the important moments in life. Any moment worth remembering is worth photographing.

Tree Decorating

This will be my first married Christmas! My husband and I dated for seven years before we tied the knot, and we didn’t live together before getting married so even though we have gone to his parents and my parents for Christmases we have never had our own place to decorate and we’ve never had our very own Christmas :) I’m really loving this holiday season so far! I was too excited to wait any longer to put up our tree so we went out to Rick and Carl’s Tree Farm in Bowling Green to cut our tree down. He’s never had a real tree and I did when I was little and I love the experience. Anyway, here are a couple of photos from the night, nothing huge but I just wanted to share!

It’s almost done here, I added some ribbon down the sides later. We picked chocolates and champagnes for our tree colors!

Our Christmas star lights up and it’s made of copper. I love it!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Christmas season is approaching fast, don’t forget that photographs make great gifts!

I love the copper star and the shadows it leaves on the wall. I will be looking for one of these!

We’re having our 30th Christmas together this year, my bride Karen and I. We’ll take the annual Christmas photo once again, one with just us two, and one with our son and his bride Jennie. Tradition lives on.

We opted after years of cutting down real trees, to go for a pre-lit tree. It makes our busy lives a bit easier if less authentic. Every year different combinations of the heirloom ornaments go on, and every year at least one or two stay permanent (like the one our son did in grade school) and at least one new one is added to the collection.

It’s a great reminder of the meaning of Christmas. The Evergreen of Christ’s ever-loving presence in our lives, and his eternal gift of love for us.

Thanks for sharing your first Christmas with us. – Matt

Matt, thank you for your wonderful comments! That is amazing on the 30th Christmas, congrats! I am all about tradition, it is our first married Christmas, but we are combining things we like from our Christmases with our families to come up with our own traditions! Thanks for reading!
