About Bethany & Wellspring Photography
I’m excited about how Wellspring Photography is growing and through that I am able to learn more as well as venture into new areas of photography. We now offer packages for any events in life, from as big as weddings and births to as small as your child’s first time making chocolate chip cookies. We are now even doing school photographs from preschool through high school, as well as family, pregnancy, and baby sessions. Any photography need you have, we would be honored and excited to fulfill it.
Here at Wellspring Photography we love photography and love capturing the important moments in life. Any moment worth remembering is worth photographing.

Thought I'd share a couple page spreads from Michele's Surprise party! Again, gotta showcase those girls from Elite Events….album wouldn't look this awesome if it wasn't for them! I love when clients purchase albums. That means I get to look at the photos again!

I am starting a series of things I love vs. things I hate. I thought it might help all my readers and clients get to know me a little bit better! Plus I'd love to get to know my clients better too! Sometimes posts like these spark conversations and I think we all know I am a talker! So here we go!

1. Number one my list is Ryan. He is such a great husband. He supports me everyday and he sits and smiles through my fast talking when I get so excited about my big hair brained ideas. He laughs with me, comforts me when I am sad and he gave me my son. Life would be empty with him, he really is my best friend and I'm so happy he works two feet from me.

::SIGH:: Who knew you could find true love at 14?
2. Seven Thunders. It is hands down the best book I've ever read. Once I purchased this baby I did nothing else from the time I started until the time I finished except read! I am not one for horror novels (mostly because I scare easy…not even just scare I startle easy. I jump at my own reflection in the mirror!). But seriously this book rocks. It is one of those books where you can't see the twists coming and even down to the last page you can't believe what you are reading! Even if you are not that into books you gotta get this one. It is for sale for Kindle as well as computers. The printed version isn't out yet. Go get it here.
PS. Copyright is Phyllip Edmund.
3. Big shout out to the boys at Savvy Giraffe. They created our new logo with the tree. We LOVE the tree! It's modern and whimsical. Perfect for our brand! We were lucky we found them and that they charge reasonably. They work with a lot of famous people so I know they are busy. They still let us give our input and guided through what they thought looked best design wise as well. They are helping us with some other major projects as well! Go say hi from us and if you need help with social media, marketing etc they are THE dudes! Go get Savvy. PS I think I might start working the word savvy into casual conversation.

1. Ok first diss of the week…tornados. They are scary and really? They are ripping through this country. My heart goes out to all the families in their time of need. If everyone could keep them in their prayers (and maybe pray that the tornados cease?). Enough nature…let's have a happy spring now!
2. Season finales. Granted I really don't have time for TV (which is why we divo it and watch it waaay later than the rest of America) but I love my weekends of modern family and office catch ups all snuggled up on the couch with the hubster. I guess we will begin our rounds of monopoly on his iPad and rummikub that looks like it is from the 70s. I don't know who will we make fun of when there is no new Phil Dunphy material!
3. Presidential campaign….it's already bugging me. I'm not a straight ticket voter. I like to read and I really do vote for who I think will do the job best….so I'm throwing it out there I am neither republican nor democrat. I do have to give a diss to the republican party. So far the two biggest doofuses (doofai?…what is the plural of doofus) have got to be Newt and the Trump. Yeh. 'Nuff said.
If you all want me to keep posting The Best vs. The Rest let me know. Thought a little [extra] fun on the blog can't hurt! Don't forget about my FREE SESSION GIVEAWAY. I have gotten some amazing drawings of Rufus. You guys have NO idea how much it brightens my day to get these! I love seeing YOUR creativity. Whoever has the best rendition of Dr. Rufus the pug wins a free session. Runner ups also will win prizes so keep 'em coming!

Hey Everyone. I am sooo happy to introduce our newest photographer here at Wellspring Photography, Emma. She rocks. She has red hair (yeh that definitely scored her interview points), she loves cake (we'll see how much! I'm really unsure if anyone loves cake more than me. Tabitha might argue but really….I eat it more!) AND she is laid back. We liked her work and were excited that she wanted to be part of our team. You'll be seeing a lot of her around! For her first session with us she photographed my baby sister (I say baby but we are 18 months apart) and her boyfriend Matt. I call my sister Mini Me and duh why not? She looks so much like me only she's a mini. I realized she might be my only sibling I haven't photographed? Maybe my brother Chris but I'll solve that this summer! I think Emma did a smashing job. Yes I am feeling British….must be all this Mini Me talk. Here is my cute sister and her 'italian' boyfriend:

Yeh, she's dang cute…and he ain't to shabby himself.

I think Emma's style meshes very well with our brand. I am excited to see her grow with us!

LOVE these two as well as the next two. Such different feelings conveyed:)

Just have to say my Mini Me is GORGE!

My FAVORITE that Emma captured. Loving this girl's eye! I also took some….didn't want to make our newbie do ALL the work!
Mine are below:

He knows he's studly…and it's not just me saying that. He actually knows it.

I like her easy smile, she has many MANY expressions but that's one of my favorites. I think because it's fleeting. For y'all who think I'm…..boisterous…she is times 10
That girl tells one crazy story.

Matt and Mini Me, thanks for coming out and letting us boss you around for work stuff
So glad you guys got to meet Emma and blog readers I was happy to introduce her work to you! You will all love her and I can't wait to show her off (I know she's not my new pair of shoes but still!)
Other news, I have one session spot left for the first week of June so if you want it grab it! Also Tabitha and I got OUR photos taken today by some rad girls over at JEM. More updates on that later. Also I am starting a series tomorrow. Check back if you like!

You all remember Jack from a few months ago? Well here's his little brother Max! Also with red hair (yes…you can say I'm jealous! I LOVE red hair!) Little Max is wide eyed and a watcher. He has some very sweet expressions and I was happy to meet him!

Had to grab a couple of my buddy Jack!

Here he is! Mr.Max!

He is so roly poly! He was rolling all over the place!

I love these next three in succession:)

Then the boys changed outfits and we headed outside! Morning sunlight is beautiful!

Look at those big beautiful blues!

I think this one is my favorite….love those eyes!

Just a couple more of Jack squeezing on his new brother!
Mike and Gina, thanks for calling me out to meet your new little guy! Your boys are too cute and I know I will just have fun watching them grow! I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek! The rest are uploading tonight and should be available tomorrow! Can't wait to show you!

Ahhh, another amazing night last night! It was going to be an ordinary night, taking my Bean to the park and then for ice cream. That morning I had received a text from Stacy going over her status and I figured I'd be going in the middle of the night. NOT SO! I got another text at 3:30 saying they were on their way to the hospital so I was on stand by. Got my next text at 4pm, they were in triage and she was 4.5cm. Got another text at 5pm she was 7.5cm! Needless to say I shot up there as fast as I could! She was going three times as fast as an average labor! I got there and it was another hour and they were prepping her to push! She pushed for 45 minutes and so Grady was born! They decided not to find out the gender and so they had this big moment and realized the baby was a he and he was definitely Grady. They both got teary and lots of smooches to go around. I of course was balling. The doctor asked if I was ok…I said yeh but how often do I get to see this really??!? I mean there was a brand new well loved human in the room! Nothing more beautiful than that! (PS check out the beginning of their story here.) Grab the tissues…here we go:

Getting comforted by her sister:)

Grandma was excited to meet her great-grandbaby!

OK so seriously when it was time to start pushing Adam put this on to lighten the mood. Stacy laughed and I think it helped her relax a bit. Adam is just a stitch!

About to begin their journey as parents.

Scared, nervous, excited and clearly love for her husband…all rolled into one expression. One of my favorite expressions I've ever seen.

They had so many stolen moments like this
SO glad they called me!

Adam helping her with her supplemental oxygen between pushes.

Another favorite expression of mine. Nervousness, love, and admiration for his wife.

He kept telling her "you can do this" and even sang softly in her ear. So softly you almost couldn't hear it. Talk about the tears now! Just watching them together was making me well up.

There he is! Grady boy!

First time seeing her son:)

Proud brand new Daddy!

Daddy holding his son's hand:)

Happy family:)

So many hands to love him and guide him.

His beautiful profile

I am enamored. He's beautiful. And might I add not a crier. He cried for like maybe 10 seconds? Sooo laid back!

Daddy holding his boy for the first time:)

My favorite photo of Grady and of course Adam's heroic moment.

He said "We have a Grady!"

Grady's giant fan club!
Adam and Stacy, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of Grady's first moments on this earth and your first moments as a family. I am so incredibly honored and now every time I think of you guys I know I will tear up. What a happy day. He is amazing and I am so thankful I got to witness his birth. PS the nursing staff rocks. They were so kind and helpful, and let me ask all kinds of crazy questions! What does that thing do? What's that for? etc etc. Special shout out to Corey and Shannon who were so great at allowing me to do my job (and even encouraging me!)
Be sure to check back for Grady's first official photo shoot. So excited to see that little man again!

I wanted to post this yesterday but I got a call about a brand new little one being born that the new parents wanted photographed! Needless to say it turned from a 'lazy' afternoon into a hectic day! So here are the images from Body Wise~the new massage place in the area! Brenda is venturing out on her own and trying to make a difference in the health and wellness of others. She has some techniques I've never even heard of that benefit the body even more than a typical massage! Everyone should call her up (our model was SO bummed when the session was over!)

This room has a thermal table in it..not totally sure what that means but what it sounded like was that the table is all warm and then you get a massage on a heated table! Talk about nap time for me!

Brenda is really trying to place her own touches on her new business even with her decor. LOVE the mirrors!

Brenda also does the hot rock massage which I have heard of but have never gotten…after yesterday thinking I might need to give it a whirl.

::sigh:: Looks awesome

Brenda does this suction cup massage which I've never seen before. Her model was going gaga over it. Brenda was telling me that it releases all the toxins from whatever area she uses it on and gets you overall a lot healthier…..I really think health insurance oughtta cover this. Anyone with me?

There's the phone number…go give her a call. You won't regret it!

She even has foot massagers in the waiting room….no wasting time here!
Brenda, thanks so much for calling me and I just wish you all the luck in your new business venture! Can't wait to get out there myself and try a few things! You can get more info here.

We have our Love package which includes the maternity session and the newborn session together and it includes an album to remember these precious time in every parent's life! I thought I would share a few page spreads from Kailey and Rankin's Love Album!
You can check out their maternity session and baby Rankin's newborn session as well as their birth documentary!

The book comes with 24 pages so 12 page spreads total and it is split in half….half for the maternity photos and half for your precious new one's first photos! I know Kailey loved her book and I was thrilled to deliver it myself! Not only is this a big benefit from booking our Love package but you save some moolah too by booking the sessions together! I really loved working with Kailey and Rankin and being there for all of baby Rankin's first moments! I hope I get to continue to watch them grow as a family…there is so much love there. Adam and Stacy have also booked the Love package plus birth documentary. We are just waiting on Baby B's arrival!!!!! Trust me there is a lot more to unfold with that story and I am having a hard time being patient!
Little side note, June is booking very quickly. If you would like to reserve a June date be sure to email me (booking about two weeks in advance and that gap is getting bigger by the day!) I have one session slot left for the second week and then we are booking into the third! Talk to you all soon!

This was about the tiniest AND most alert newborn I have ever photographed! She has big bright eyes and some sweet fingers and toes! Her Nana made her a tutu and headband! Needless to say she looked extra cute! I still can't believe this baby boomers that Wellspring is experiencing but I have to say I am loving every minute of it! Lilah smelled delicious! Perfect baby smell and her little mousie squeak of a cry just made me smile. Feel like it just yesterday that my Bean was that little but four months have already passed! Thankfully I get to meet and cuddle little newbies like Lilah!
Other news, we've added a tree to our logo! We love it! It is such a great element and hopefully becomes the icon of WP. Not only did we get new blogs this week but a new logo! We have more changes coming too! Keep an eye out

Look at that precious girl! (and our new tree!!
)

::sigh::

She has perfectly shaped toes!

She also has these long gorgeous fingers! So curly!

Sweet girl just lying all calm and cool in her crib!

BIG yawn!

My favorite detail of her room! Lilah's aunt painted it for her!
Larisa and Cameron, she is beautiful and I am so glad you are enjoying your time with her! Can't wait to show you the rest of your photos! They will be available tomorrow!
