About Bethany & Wellspring Photography

I’m excited about how Wellspring Photography is growing and through that I am able to learn more as well as venture into new areas of photography. We now offer packages for any events in life, from as big as weddings and births to as small as your child’s first time making chocolate chip cookies. We are now even doing school photographs from preschool through high school, as well as family, pregnancy, and baby sessions. Any photography need you have, we would be honored and excited to fulfill it.

Here at Wellspring Photography we love photography and love capturing the important moments in life. Any moment worth remembering is worth photographing.

My Baby Sister’s Shower {Toledo Event Photography}

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

Yes, my baby sister found her man. You can see more about those two love bunnies here. I actually put on the shower (with TONS of help!) Normally my big sister handles the parties but she went and had my adorable nephew so she's been a bit busy πŸ™‚ I picked the theme, date, made and sent invitations and decorated (with tons of help from my Momma!) and my big sister made all the yummo food. Oh and Tabitha brought the sangria….apparently you're supposed to have grown up drinks at a night time bridal shower ;).

The table setting station. There was some formal seating in the tent (actual tables with settings) but there were also couches and hay bales rocking chairs and wicker chairs. These seats obviously didn't have a place setting so they would come get their plates, napkins, glasses and flatware here.

So I can't lie….I read the Elite Events blog….if you are planning a party you really need to read it…religiously.

Bean helped me pull these off the next day…he really loves to help πŸ™‚

Hubs made the signs AND put them in the ground. I know how men are about their yards and I was so thankful that he did it with a happy heart. Not all men are happy or even willing to put a hole in their yards πŸ™‚

The tables were just wrapped in craft paper and then I had mason jars and just put cupcake liners on top to keep the straws in place.

Fancy brownies πŸ™‚

Since it was an evening/night time shower we had a dessert bar. Oreo bites, cheescake stuffed strawberries, a sugar cookie bar (many toppings!), cake pops, chocolate covered pretzels, brownies, mini pumpkin pies, a truffle, a couple of fancy cakes and etc etc. I can't remember it all at this point!

I kind of went nuts when I realized how many people would be at my house so I did this to the front trees and added a burlap ribbon. I also ripped up the entire front garden and back garden and reconfigured the entire thing. I just wanted everything to be perfect for her and for her to know she is special and important! (I definitely learned this from my momma….she always put great efforts into making sure our parties were perfect and that we knew how important we are.)

This is another tree out front. Just adding to the detail and to make sure the guests knew they were in the right place.

Upon their arrival we had a kind of 'getaway' entrance. They can't throw confetti at the hall and Rachel saw these photos and loved them and I thought it was my opportunity to give her those photos.

Plus it was a really fun way to kick off the shower.

There's that fancy cake! I challenged my big sister to make that cake and she did a beautiful job! I absolutely love it!

We had them do a practice cake cutting….maybe they will be pros on their actual wedding day πŸ™‚

It was such a fun evening! BTW if ya'll need a photobooth let me know. That was incredibly fun. I kinda wished it lasted longer than three hours….I was having too much fun and I coulda kept going! I'll have another post with more of the intricate details and the where and how to do them!

This is Melissa from the engagement session form July 6! I got to photograph her bridal shower and it was tastefully done! It was such a lovely setting and I think everyone had a good time (myself included!) It was also fun to see the yayas! You might remember them from the September 18 post. The yayas have been friends since middle school and Melissa is yaya Lisa’s daughter! I love photographing clients as their lives move along, it’s so great πŸ™‚ Here are my favorites!

Her sister got her a big ice cream bowl and an engraved ice cream scoop that says Mr. and Mrs.Echler. Melissa LOVES ice cream and instead of having cake at their wedding they are having Coldstone ice cream! YUM!
