Matt and Rachel~Engaged {Toledo Photography}

It's true..my baby sister is officially getting married. It seems so weird and I don't know why. She's the youngest one…she's not supposed to do grown up stuff. She found the one for her, and he's the only guy I'd be willing to give her too. He's nuts about her and I know he will take great care of her. Plus he loves Bean a ton….sign of a good man right there. I think I went overkill on the photos but I was suddenly nervous….didn't want her to be disappointed! Rach….hopefully you didn't get the E.P. about photos

He makes her laugh so much and that's what we all wanted for her….a lifetime full of laughter.

They are really alike…I asked them to sit here….and the both started collecting leaves because they didn't want to get dirty haha.

I remember in the beginning of their relationship Rachel was taking it slow, trying to figure him out. One day he had flowers delivered to my folks house for her. He learned that she wasn't actually going to be home that weekend, she was house sitting for Tabitha…he went over to my parent's house and picked them up and took them to Tab's so Rachel could enjoy them all weekend. That's when I knew he was the one she'd been waiting for. She once told me she had been waiting her whole life for a boy to send her flowers…and here he was. Sending her flowers for no reason at all and double delivering them just so she could enjoy them.

So I know she reads my blog…when I was explaining this to them she said "Oh I know that one….no smiling Matt…it's dramatic" Gotta love a good blog stalker.

Yes…that is an amazing ring….that he ::cough cough:: designed himself!! Yowza!

Matt and Mini Me….I couldn't be happier for you guys. I can hardly wait until your big day, it's going to be wonderful! You guys will be so happy together!
PS Hopefully Dad doesn't think I made you kiss too much!

Ian and Mandy~Engaged {Toledo Photography}

Ian and Mandy are so much fun to be around. They are laid back, and they just laugh and laugh together. They are one of those couples who you can just tell were destined to be together. They decided they wanted to do their photos where they got engaged….Mandy's family's summer home in Catawba! ::swoon:: We had fantastic weather and a beautiful day on the lake and I got to hear all about how they got together…it was a great afternoon! Here are some of my faves:

Tyler and Michelle~Engaged {Toledo Photographer}

Holy cuteness…seriously. These two are so cuddly and smiley with each other. They are just truly happy to be around one another. They have this quietness about them, just happy in their own little world. Michelle is as sweet as can be, just a peach and has these fabulous green eyes! Tyler is enamored with her….he just looks at her in this way that you know he is gaga over her! She kept kicking up leaves and wanting to run through them (she loves outdoors) and he just smiled so big at her….just appreciating her for being herself. These two have that special bond that is really going to last forever and I'm just so thrilled I got to see it, even if only for an hour. Real love is just something to witness…never gets old! You'll see what I mean:

So I told them "go stand over there" and I began changing my camera settings and as I looked up they were just doing this….they are actually just this cute in real life!

::sigh:: she's GORGEOUS!

Again, no direction! They are just made for each other

Tyler and Michelle, thank you SO much for calling me! I really had a blast with you guys, it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Hope your planning goes well and that it's fun!! Can't wait to show you the rest of your photos!!!

Hunter and Shawnteal~Engaged! {Toledo Photography}

These two are awesome! I had such a great time hanging out yesterday and getting to know them better as a couple! They met a few weeks before freshman year so they have quite a history! They laugh a lot together which I love! I think their day is going to be really fun. (I am looking forward to another great season for 2012, so many sweet couples!) I love how tall Hunter is and how tiny Shawnteal is, just so stinkin cute! Also Shawnteal has a great smile, when she is really laughing her nose gets this cute crinkle in it!

Jay and Erin~Engaged! (Toledo Photography)

So, I'm totally psyched that these two booked me as their photog. The consultation was awesome, we just clicked. The engagement session just confirmed everything. I just loved hanging out with these two and watching them interact. I think we laughed the entire time and when I borrowed her ring to grab a couple shots they were just in their own little world, laughing and whispering…they are serious snuggle bugs and it's freakin cute.

This is Erin's tree…she found it and loved it and I agree…it's pretty schwiggin.

Grand Rapids might be small…but they have so many great little areas.

Like I said…snuggle bugs!

That is one gorgeous girl!

Ron and Kathy ~Vow Renewal {Toledo Wedding Photography}

GAH! Ok so I totally LOVE these two! They have been married for 30 years and want to renew their vows! They met in college at a math party ::sigh:: so cute! She went up to him and told him he had a nice chest. Talk about a way to flatter a man. She said he was the only one worth snagging out of that group and I think it worked out pretty well! When they got married originally they decided to forgo the rings which is something they realized they missed so sweet Ron saved up and got her some bling bling! Kathy has been so excited to plan her vow renewal and she wanted 'engagement' shots before their (second) big day! Really wish I was going down to Hocking Hills to photograph their ceremony! I know it will be so sweet and meaningful! They are too cute and flirty together and such a great example to follow! I hope thirty years from now my own hubster and I are still flirty and having that much fun with each other! PS Kathy makes the BEST scones and fudge! I heard a rumor she wants to begin a fudge related dessert bar for wedding receptions….so brides….really. Go check her out!

Jim and Melissa~Engaged {Toledo Photography}

I first met Jim at Matt and Sara's wedding a couple of summers ago! Now Jim and Melissa will be getting married this summer the same month as them! It was a HOT one today but they braved the weather with me (during the hottest part of the day as well!) and didn't complain once! They are laid back and I really think we are going to have a great time on their big day! We headed out to the Wood County Historical Museum which is a great little place with lots of areas to use! Here are some faves:

Love how relaxed they are with each other. These two met when Melissa was student teaching where Jim was a teacher. It took a few times of hanging out over a couple of years to realize they were right for each other. It's a sweet story and I just thought this image tells it best!

Rob + Cindy (and a new blog!) {Toledo Photography}

Hey y'all (yes I've been into saying y'all lately….all my roots are southern I figure I get a pass right?) ! As you can see I got a new blog! The ::BEST:: part about this blog is the BIG PICTURES! Many of my clients have been to my home and know exactly how much I love big photos. I was happy when I got home from a session and saw the hubster sitting there fiddling with my blog. He said "look big photos" He knows me well! Tabitha is also getting a blog makeover too I just happen to be married to our web designer . Also we have a new mobile version of my blog that is super easy to use and friendly to iPhone, iPad, and blackberry. Check it out!

On to the post! Yesterday was so blah outside but I got lucky enough to photograph TWO sessions between rain storms. Rob and Cindy were the first ones yesterday. They were troopers through the squish and slosh ( and yes for those of who are wondering I of course sat in a puddle….when do I not do that?) Rob and Cindy have a quiet admiration for one another and Cindy has about the cutest smile ever. Her nose crinkles just a bit when she is truly smiling and I am excited to photograph it more on their big day! Side note Cindy got her hair and make up done by Raquel at the beauty bar!

SO glad I caught that smile! How cute!

They also brought their papillon Coco! Sorry cat people I'm a dog lover! I've had a few couples bring their pups to their engagement sessions and it totally rocks!

I figured why not make use of giant puddles? Seriously it looked like a lake!

There's that smile again that I love! I have no idea what he said to her to make her laugh but I hope he keeps doing that on wedding day!

Cindy and Rob, So glad I got to chill with you guys and get to know you a bit better. I know you're wedding day is going to be FABULOUS! Seriously you guys gotta see that dress, it's GORGEOUS! I in fact did get sneak peek via phone pic!

I have more work form yesterday to post but we are celebrating mother's day tonight since I was out of town last weekend! I'll post more later!

These two are so much fun! Had a blast traipsing through the snow and talking with them! They come alll the way from North Dakota and they’re both pilots! Needless to say, they are cool! PS these sunny December skies rock!

They just did this….so freakin cute!

Yes, her ring has topaz (i think) for the main stone, and it’s surrounded by diamonds! It’s gorgeous and I LOVE it for a winter shoot!

Seriously these skies are freakin sweet!

Sonny and Mariah~Engaged {Toledo Photography}

These two are really fun and so cute together! They love spending time with each other and you can tell they are just meant to be together! They wanted a different type of engagement session so they went for the night time city lights feeling! What a great time of year to do photos with all the Christmas lights up We started at sunset and went until the sky was dark blue!

The light looked like summer light, can’t believe it’s late November!

I couldn’t believe we had such a colorful sunset in November! LOVE the contrasting colors that a sunset makes! Orange light vs a blue sky!

Love the drama of this one!

Many of the shops downtown have cute Christmas displays, you should go check them out!
