Dawson has grown quite a bit since his last session. Not only has he grown so much but he is going to be a big brother! I was happy to get to take their family photos at this special time in their lives! It's their second Christmas as a family (Dawson was born a couple weeks before Christmas)!

Love Package Album {Toledo Maternity & Newborn Photography}

We have our Love package which includes the maternity session and the newborn session together and it includes an album to remember these precious time in every parent's life! I thought I would share a few page spreads from Kailey and Rankin's Love Album!

The book comes with 24 pages so 12 page spreads total and it is split in half….half for the maternity photos and half for your precious new one's first photos! I know Kailey loved her book and I was thrilled to deliver it myself! Not only is this a big benefit from booking our Love package but you save some moolah too by booking the sessions together! I really loved working with Kailey and Rankin and being there for all of baby Rankin's first moments! I hope I get to continue to watch them grow as a family…there is so much love there. Adam and Stacy have also booked the Love package plus birth documentary. We are just waiting on Baby B's arrival!!!!! Trust me there is a lot more to unfold with that story and I am having a hard time being patient!

Little side note, June is booking very quickly. If you would like to reserve a June date be sure to email me (booking about two weeks in advance and that gap is getting bigger by the day!) I have one session slot left for the second week and then we are booking into the third! Talk to you all soon!

Waiting for Baby “B” {Monroe Maternity Photography}

Adam and Stacy had me up in MI doing their maternity photos this weekend. I am really excited because they also booked me for their birth documentary and their newborn photos! I told them we should grab coffee and get to know each other better. For big events like weddings and birth documentaries I like to know my clients so they don't see me as a stranger and so they know they can rely on me!

At our coffee 'date' I got to know a bit about their personalities. Adam is sarcastic and those of you who know me know that I LOVE sarcasm. I am a sucker for sarcasm and dry humor (ask my hubby….that pretty much sums him up!) So of course Adam and I get along great. On top of that Stacy and share that same quality of the love of laughter. Adam kept us laughing all through coffee.

These two not unlike my hubby and myself in many ways besides the personality similarities. They are also high school sweethearts AND they also chose not to find out the gender of their baby. Plus they are coming up on three years of marriage (again same as hubby and me). Needless to say I was excited to see them again for their maternity shoot and I am really freakin excited about documenting their baby's debut! (Also, I think it's safe to say that I am loving the word freakin lately. I just keeps popping out.)

I wanted to show a side by side comparison. This is how different an image can look by just changing the settings on your camera. I got asked if I have a studio based on Kailey's maternity shoot. I don't have a studio, but what I do have is clients with big windows covered in sheers!

Before you know it this little one will be 3 1/2 months old like my Bean! Then 3 years and……I just can't think about them growing up so fast! Can't wait for that phone call! See you at the hospital!

These two have quite the kiddos! First a daughter and then twin boys! They already have a dream family but they just weren’t complete and that is where this new little one comes in! I just love photographing maternity shoots..the excitement and anticipation of a new PERSON coming into the world. It’s like magic! Plus I get some hot mamas to photograph and Kristi is no different. So I just have to say I had a blast doing this shoot. Every session is different because all people are different and I really love that about my job. Plus it was a gorgeous day out yesterday and the kids said some really sweet things. I like to photograph kids first and quickly so they can have fun and run around! So after they were all done I said "Ok you guys are all done, you did great! Now you can go run around with Dad and have some fun. You guys were so good and I know getting pictures taken can be boring sometimes" The kids said "We used to hate getting our pictures taken but not after today, this was fun!" Bless my heart! I love hearing things like that. Makes me feel like I’m doing my job right! They had all kinds of ideas for me too, maybe future photogs?

Rankin and Kailey Part Two {Toledo Maternity Photography}

I really had a great time with these two and I am really excited to meet baby Rankin!! We did the second part of the session downtown! Rankin and Kailey~Part One {Toledo Maternity Photography}

It is official my maternity leave is over. I am loving being a Mommy to my little ‘beanstalk’ but I’m also loving my job! I am happy my first session back was a maternity session. Kailey got in contact with me a month or so ago asking about maternity and newborn sessions and ended up booking our Love package which combines the two sessions in one package! I am so glad she did because I know for SURE that I get to photograph baby Rankin when he is born…and yes baby Rankin is named after his dad and grandad Rankin (and his grandad John~middle name). Rankin and Kailey are super cute together, he is a laid back guitarist ( and rather dapper) and she is an outgoing friendly gorgeous preggo! I swear I get the tiniest preggos to photograph! These two are highschool sweethearts…Kailey’s family moved to Florida and so they ended up breaking it off for a bit but just realized they could not live without each other and back to Ohio she came! Anyway, they have a quaint little house with amazing lighting and I could not have been happier to be snapping away today! Look out…this post is huge! Check back later for their second part!

Self Portrait {Toledo Maternity Photography}

Sooo, yeh! My boy was gone on Sunday night and we had yet another amazing sunset so I took advantage. My real maternity session was with Tabitha but I figured I’d grab at least one that needed specific lighting! I am due in four weeks, which is another reason 2011 is going to rock! I am taking maternity leave beginning January 15. I will still be answering emails and filling orders of course but just not shooting for a couple weeks!
