Ahhh, another amazing night last night! It was going to be an ordinary night, taking my Bean to the park and then for ice cream. That morning I had received a text from Stacy going over her status and I figured I'd be going in the middle of the night. NOT SO! I got another text at 3:30 saying they were on their way to the hospital so I was on stand by. Got my next text at 4pm, they were in triage and she was 4.5cm. Got another text at 5pm she was 7.5cm! Needless to say I shot up there as fast as I could! She was going three times as fast as an average labor! I got there and it was another hour and they were prepping her to push! She pushed for 45 minutes and so Grady was born! They decided not to find out the gender and so they had this big moment and realized the baby was a he and he was definitely Grady. They both got teary and lots of smooches to go around. I of course was balling. The doctor asked if I was ok…I said yeh but how often do I get to see this really??!? I mean there was a brand new well loved human in the room! Nothing more beautiful than that! (PS check out the beginning of their story here.) Grab the tissues…here we go:

Getting comforted by her sister:)

Grandma was excited to meet her great-grandbaby!

OK so seriously when it was time to start pushing Adam put this on to lighten the mood. Stacy laughed and I think it helped her relax a bit. Adam is just a stitch!

About to begin their journey as parents.

Scared, nervous, excited and clearly love for her husband…all rolled into one expression. One of my favorite expressions I've ever seen.

They had so many stolen moments like this
SO glad they called me!

Adam helping her with her supplemental oxygen between pushes.

Another favorite expression of mine. Nervousness, love, and admiration for his wife.

He kept telling her "you can do this" and even sang softly in her ear. So softly you almost couldn't hear it. Talk about the tears now! Just watching them together was making me well up.

There he is! Grady boy!

First time seeing her son:)

Proud brand new Daddy!

Daddy holding his son's hand:)

Happy family:)

So many hands to love him and guide him.

His beautiful profile

I am enamored. He's beautiful. And might I add not a crier. He cried for like maybe 10 seconds? Sooo laid back!

Daddy holding his boy for the first time:)

My favorite photo of Grady and of course Adam's heroic moment.

He said "We have a Grady!"

Grady's giant fan club!
Adam and Stacy, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of Grady's first moments on this earth and your first moments as a family. I am so incredibly honored and now every time I think of you guys I know I will tear up. What a happy day. He is amazing and I am so thankful I got to witness his birth. PS the nursing staff rocks. They were so kind and helpful, and let me ask all kinds of crazy questions! What does that thing do? What's that for? etc etc. Special shout out to Corey and Shannon who were so great at allowing me to do my job (and even encouraging me!)
Be sure to check back for Grady's first official photo shoot. So excited to see that little man again!
